Chicago

I am standing in front of a huge boat that was on the way to Navy Pier in Chicago. We wanted to go inside, but it was closed. It seems like everything opens in May in Chicago, so from now on we need to go in May or later. Bryce and Devon are standing in front of the amphitheater at Millennium Park. In this park they also have this giant silver thing that is sort of shaped like a pinto bean, and you can see your reflection in it. It was fun to videotape that. We took the picture of the four wheeler because we thought it was funny that this is what some of the police officers drive in Chicago. In the next picture we are at the top of the Sears Tower. Bryce had to have his picture taken by the basketball wall, of course. LOL! In the last picture, Devon is watching TV. I thought it was hilarious, because he already gets totally mesmerized by TV. He and his dad have a lot in common!

These are all families that Bryce met on his mission in the Chicago South Mission. The first family pictured is the Morrical family, who live in Kankakee, IL. Pictured from left is Brandon, Scott, Holly, and Colin. The next lady pictured is Kim Hopkins from South Shore Chicago. We were eating at Giordano's, Bryce's favorite pizza place, with Kim. The next family pictured are Kathy and Rick Nycz who live in Naperville, IL. Next is the Warwick family who also reside in Naperville. From left is Mark, Amanda, Nathan, Edie, Ashley, Chloe, Amy, and Jacob. Chloe is Amy's daughter. Last, but not least, is the Jolley family who live in Valparaiso, IN. Pictured from left is Janette, Jaycee, Jessica, Jennifer, Julene, Todd, and Terry. The girl sitting on Jennifer's lap is Kelly Clark. She is the sister of Craig Clark, the guy who got Bryce and me hooked up! Julene and Jennifer will be coming out to BYU-Idaho in the fall.

5 Generations

I had a five generation picture taken with my 96 year old great grandma, Lucille, my mammaw, Dad, and Devon. We went to the nursing home to take it. The next picture is of my Dad's three tractors. I'm on the Farmall C, Dad is in the middle, and Emily is on my pappaw's old tractor, the Farmall M. My grandpa Dean and his wife Mia are shown next, and then in the last picture Devon is throwing his head back while Grandma holds on tightly!

Grandma's House

While at my grandmother's house, we took a four generation picture. Mom and I happened to be wearing the same shirt! My sister, Emily, is going to start taking violin lessons. This is her serious musician pose. The other baby pictured is my cousin Justin's son, Connor. They are also pictured with Justin's fiancee, Maggie. I thought the picture of Devon holding Spongebob was hilarious!

Indiana Trip

We took a two week vacation to Indiana and Illinois from April 14-27.The picture of the mountains was taken as were riding in the shuttle from Rexburg to Salt Lake City. Our friend, Mark Baker, came to see us at our hotel in Salt Lake City. He is in the suit holding Devon. The other pictures are in Salem, Indiana, where I was born and raised. I spy-picked my uncle Jim while he was sleeping. My aunt Judy is holding Devon in the chair, and the other picture includes my dad and mammaw, Lavonne.

Sleepy Boy

I just happened to have quite a few
pictures of Devon sleeping, so I
thought I'd just put them all together on this post. Bryce isn't asleep in the one picture; he must have just been in mid-blink. My grandma, Cathy Pearson, is holding Devon in the chair, and my stepmom, Karen, is holding him on the couch.

Cute Little Messy Eater

Devon recently started eating carrots and green beans. The picture with the carrots all over his face is the day that he made the biggest mess with his food. In two of the pictures, he is playing with his favorite toy and wearing overalls that my stepmom, Karen, bought for him. In the other two pictures, he is wearing an outfit that my aunt Pam bought for him. Devon will be 7 months old on April 21.
