Happy Birthday to Me!

This was the day before my birthday, but we were in Utah on my actual birthday, so I celebrated with Mom and Emily this day. Mom made me dinner and a chocolate cake with chocolate icing - my favorite! Who says you can have too much chocolate? I got some great gifts from Mom and Emily. Emily gave me the feather pen with purple ink, like how they used to write in the olden days. Mom gave me the red shirt I'm posing with (I forget to flip the picture the right way). Mom also got me Spongebob Season 5 (yes!), a pair of jeans, Twilight earrings, and a mini trampoline. My gift from Bryce was going to the Jazz game, and I also received gifts and cards from other friends and family. Thank you! I was so excited to get the yellow Longaberger pan from my stepmom. Devon broke my other one, and I had been pretty upset about it. They are the best pans, so I was sad to lose one. Now I have another one! Karen and Dad also sent me a customized journal that has my favorite picture of me, Bryce, and Devon. Needless to say, I did pretty well on my birthday. In the top picture, Devon is pulling out all of Mom's movies. Surprise, surprise!

Go Jazz!!!

For my birthday, Bryce and I went to a Utah Jazz game in Salt Lake City. (And yes, I was the one that said we should we go. I'm sure many of you were wondering!) The Jazz lost by 5 to the Cavaliers, but it was still really fun to be there. I got a $10 Jazz shirt, which was cool. We stayed at Bryce's aunt and uncle's for the night, (they also watched Devon for us while we were at the game) and we headed home the next day. I had an enjoyable birthday, to say the least.

Happy Birthday to Mom!

The last two pictures are from Christmas. Mom bought Emily the High School Musical shirt, and I bought Mom the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. The top three pictures are from Mom's birthday on January 4. We had tacos for dinner, German chocolate cake for dessert, and then she opened her presents. I thought Jared might like to see the picture of her holding Move Over Darling since that was from him.

These pictures were taking at Emily's 11th birthday party and the day after. (She had the party the day before her birthday.) I made her a game which consists of naming movies that certain actors and actresses are in, and naming songs by certain singers. She got several other presents as well, some of which are shown. She had some of her friends over to her party, and Devon and I came as well. (Bryce had to work.) Then on Emily's actual birthday, we gave her the rest of her presents and we ate at Fong's, her favorite Chinese restaurant.

Miscellaneous Pics

These are just some miscellaneous pictures of Devon. He did really well sitting on Santa's lap. "Santa" was the Relief Society President's husband. Devon is enjoying a candy cane, as you can see. It was his treat from Santa. I had to get a picture of him with his dog. Mom bought this for him, and it has become his favorite thing. He says dog all the time, only he doesn't pronounce the 'g'. He also calls his panda bear and Winnie the Pooh dogs. He hasn't quite figured out the difference yet.

Re Post

On our last post, we put our pictures into a collage form. I have been told that the pictures cannot be printed off in this form. Therefore, I am reposting these pictures individually so that they can be printed out.

Christmas 2008

We had an awesome and enjoyable Christmas. Devon definitely got the hookup in the present department. From Santa, he got a Lightning McQueen beanbag. From Catherine's dad and step-mom, he got a singing rocking horse. From Catherine's mom he got a cozy coupe car. From Bryce's parents, he got a homemade rag quilt with Utah Jazz all over it (my siblings all wanted to see pictures of the rag quilt because all of the grandkids got different ones). He also got some new clothes and new toys as well. Devon did pretty good at unwrapping the presents and eventually figured out that if he ripped off the wrapping, there was something underneath to play with. It would take the whole blog just to give a list of everything that he got. Catherine and I got some good gifts as well-a portable DVD player for the family and a load of DVD's. Bryce got Catherine a big, soft Panda blanket and Catherine got Bryce "The Dark Knight" movie. Catherine's mom and sister and Bryce's parents all came over to celebrate with us. Christmas night, all the girls went and saw the Marley and Me movie while the boys hung out. When the girls came back, the boys went and saw Valkary.
