Wedding Reception continued

Here are Grandma and Lizzy and Kevin and Lizzy. The picture of Devon is just one that he asked me to take of him. He generally loves to pose for pictures. Emily and Mom did the decorating for the reception, and you can see some of what they did behind Kevin and Lizzy. The colors were pastel colors, so Grandma wore green, Kevin, Mom, and Emily wore yellow, and my dress had green, purple, and pink on it.

Wedding Reception

Mom and Kevin were sealed for time and all eternity in the Rexburg, Idaho temple on May 14th. They had already been married civilly, of course, but now they were able to be married in the temple. We had pictures taken right outside of the temple in our white outfits. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining and there were beautiful flowers by the temple. After that, there was a reception at the church building that Mom, Kevin, and Emily used to attend in Rexburg. Bryce, the kids, and I used to go to that ward building, too. Kevin made 13 pies and there was a sheet cake with little yellow and purple tulips. There were also trays of mini sandwiches and vegetables and dip. We had water punch to drink (it's like a very light lemonade). These pictures were taken at the reception. Mom had collected a bunch of family pictures and had them set out on a table for everyone to see. She also set out a big picture of the Rexburg temple that I had put together for them as a wedding gift. It was a very nice day. Our friend, Tommy Wright, who lives in Texas, was able to be here for the sealing and he is pictured with me, Bryce, and the kids.

Cute Little Kids!

The kids sure do love wearing hats and sunglasses! They have had a lot of fun playing outside now that the weather is getting warmer. Today the weather is perfect! Finally! I am looking forward to wearing shorts and capris and flip flops! Woo hoo!

Easter Sunday

Unfortunately, I couldn't get Lizzy to smile in any of these pictures, but she still looks like a pretty little princess in her Easter dress.

My handsome little Devon!

Last of Easter Egg pics

It was a bummer that the weather wasn't nicer. There wasn't a ton of snow, as you can see, but it would have been nice to not have to worry about jackets. Oh, well, this is Idaho, so what do I expect?

Easter Eggs continued

The kids continue to search for eggs. They found a lot of them on their own, but of course I didn't actually hide them. Oops! I mean, the Easter Bunny didn't actually hide them. You can see our new Subaru in one the pictures, too. We love this car!

More Egg Hunting

Lizzy understood the concept of picking up the eggs and putting them in her bucket. We had gone to an Easter egg hunt at our ward the week before, so she was able to figure out what to do there. The kids got M &M's, Pez, and jelly beans in the eggs. We had Spongebob eggs, princess eggs, and then just regular eggs. I didn't realize that we had so many! I counted 37 of them.

Lizzy is wearing her new coat and sunglasses here. She had recently been putting on Devon's sunglasses a lot, so I figured it was time for her to have her own pair.

Gifts and Baskets

The kids got a lot of great stuff for Easter. They got new clothes, candy, movies, a ball, sunglasses, a new coat, stuffed animals, and books. We did our Easter egg hunt at Kathy and Craig's house. Elizabeth has a little princess bucket and Devon has a Spongebob basket. They enjoyed carrying them around.

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids went to an Easter egg hunt in Driggs on the Saturday before Easter. There were so many kids there, though, that all of the eggs got taken before the kids got any. A couple of nice parents gave each of the kids one egg when they noticed that they hadn't gotten any, so that was nice. Devon was a little bummed out at first, but then he starting playing on the playground equipment and had a blast. He never wanted to go down the big slide unless I was right there. He would holler for me each time to make sure I was there. The person in costume is actually Bryce's sister, Ashley. I don't think Devon ever believed that it was Ashley in the costume. U.S. Bank sponsored the Easter egg hunt, and that's where Ashley works.

Pajama kids

Lizzy is wearing a pair of Devon's old Spongebob pajamas. He got upset at first when she started wearing them since they were his. I had to explain that they were too small for him to wear now, and he still had his other Spongebob pajamas. Elizabeth loves Spongebob now too, much to Bryce's chagrin. She calls him "Bo Bo", just like Devon used to.

Elizabeth got this princess couch for Christmas and she just loves it. Devon loves it, too, so we're thinking that maybe for his birthday he needs his own special little couch or chair.

Elizabeth is also a huge fan of her Tinkerbell slippers. She loves shoes, and now likes to wear her slippers around the house a lot.

Lizzy and Devon both like to wear hats. Lizzy does have some her own, but she seems to prefer wearing her big brother's hats.
