Fun at the Park

I took Emily and Devon to the park last week to play. We mostly went to go to the Splash Park, but the weather wasn't cooperating. Once the kids finally got into the water, Emily fell and scraped up her knee and leg after only playing for a couple of minutes. The water was cold, since the weather really wasn't warm enough. Devon seemed a little gun shy of the water, which kind of surprised me. He mostly just ran around the outside of the splash park. But, as you can see, Devon had a lot of fun on the play equipment.

Devon's New Bike

We finally put together Devon's bike that he got for his birthday. It was for 18 months old and up, so we just now got around to putting it together. He likes it really well, but doesn't know how to pedal yet, so he just scoots around on it. We saw Jared, Kylie, and Dax a couple of weeks ago. Dax will be one year old on June 17. We couldn't believe how big he's gotten!

Babysitting Maria

I have been babysitting a nine month old girl named Maria Kaiser during this spring semester. She comes over on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:30 until 3:00. Devon loves having her around, which makes me feel good since hopefully he'll enjoy having a new baby brother or sister around by the end of this year. He says "baby" really clearly now, and says it constantly when Maria is around. In the top picture, Devon is playing with his shopping cart that he got for Easter from Dad and Karen.

Devon is now 20 months old!

I've just been taking some random pictures of Devon lately. As you can see from these, he likes looking through magazines, playing with the chair stool, and pushing the cooler around. In his feeding seat, he is having a juice box for the first time, which came with a BK Kid's Meal.

Devon has been learning a lot of new words now. He says "please", "thank you", "apple", "cheese", "Nanny", and "Poppa" quite often. It's nice that he is better able to tell me what he wants now. When he wants a drink, he always calls it "ju", whether it's juice or milk.

Easter!

Devon got some nice goodies for Easter. He understood that you put eggs in the basket, but I had to lead him to them. I got him a basketball basket and sports eggs. They were really cute. He also got some new clothes, books, bubbles, and treats. The outfit he's wearing is the one that Kathy got him for Easter. A couple of pictures are not from Easter, as you can probably tell. In one he is sitting on our couch munching on some Chocolate Rice Chex. In the other picture, he had moved the box that his shopping cart was in so that he could climb on top of it and reach more books. He's a clever little man. Karen and Dad got him the shopping cart for Easter, and he has enjoyed pushing it around and putting things in it.

Visits with family

In March, Crystal and her family came for a visit, and then few days later, Dad, Karen, and Jared came to visit. We all went up to Tetonia for a weekend, and some of us got to ride a snowmobile for the first time. In one picture, Dad and Karen are riding together, and in another one Jared and Tucker are riding it. It was really nice to see everyone. We had a really good time. Since the weather wasn't great, we stayed indoors a lot of the time. But, it was nice to just spend some time together and catch up. We are planning a trip to Indiana around the end of July.

Devon enjoyed spending time with his cousins as you can see. He spun around in our computer chair with McKinlee, and is trying to love on Titan in the last picture. Devon loves being around other little kids, which is great since he will be getting a little brother or sister by the end of this year!

Devon - Almost 18 Months!

Here are just some random pictures of Devon. I also had to throw in another Utah Jazz picture. We went to another game for Bryce's birthday. We went on Friday, March 6. The Jazz beat the Denver Nuggets, so they finally won a game that we went to! It was a really exciting game to be at. Devon has just recently started to brush his teeth, as you can see in one of the pictures. I help him out at the beginning, but then he's content to take it and do it himself. He was cracking me up in the picture with the chip bag, because he had seen them on the couch and crawled over Bryce's legs to get to them. Smart kid! Devon looked like he was lifting weights in the picture with the trampoline. He just kept moving it up and down. In the other picture, he is enjoying a cheeseburger from McDonald's.
