Devon's Birthday

This was Devon's actual birthday. We had his party the next day. Devon is wearing his new Buzz Lightyear pajamas and holding his new Nemo stuffed animal that Bryce and I gave him.

We took Devon and Lizzy to a playland called Leo's Place. They had gotten free coupons to play there from the summer reading program. After that we went to Applebee's to eat. Devon had requested it, saying that he wanted grilled chicken and french fries.

Devon got a birthday crown from school and this paper cake with five candles. He was super proud of both.
Devon is in the birthday club at Toys R Us, so we went there and he got a free balloon and another paper crown. He also had a $3 coupon, so we used it to get the orange dinosaur he's holding.

Pictures of the Kids

Lizzy just looked so cute that I had to take a picture!
This was Devon's Primary Program day. He had his own little part to say and sang songs with the rest of the kids.
You can't really see it, but the kids are sitting on Lizzy's play kitchen. They have a fascination with laying it down on the floor and then sitting on it. I have no clue why they decide to do that.
One day I found the kids sitting in the bathtub for no specific reason. Lizzy was looking at books and Devon was playing with Bryce's ipod. It's funny the things they come up with.
Sorry about the sideways picture, but I did have a request to post a pregnancy picture. This was taken about a month ago when I would've been about 22 weeks along.

Yellowstone National Park

This was the first time I got to see baby buffalo.

Here's Emily while we were looking at the hot spring geysers and the paint pots.

I thought this was a neat looking vehicle.
We ended up getting to see Old Faithful go off twice while we were there.

Here's my dad - Beware of the buffalo!

Tautphaus Park Zoo

When my dad and stepmom were out here visiting, we all went to the zoo in Idaho Falls.

This was my first time ever getting a picture of the red panda at the zoo. Every other time I've been there, the red panda hasn't been out.

Devon loved watching the penguins, so he thought this guy was especially cool.

Porter Park

When my dad and stepmom came to visit in June, we took the kids to play at Porter Park in Rexburg. They don't get too crazy about going into the water, but they still have fun. In the picture above, Lizzy and Daddy are splashing each other.

Devon's not looking too happy at this point.

This is Devon's favorite thing at the splash park. He loves turning the wheel so the water will come rushing out.

Devon's First Day of Preschool

Devon wanted to wear his Thor shirt for the first day of school. Not a big surprise there. He has on his Spongebob backpack and was all excited to go to preschool this morning. He told me about coloring and learning letters and songs and playing with Legos. He said he liked his teachers and the other kids there. When we got home, though, Devon was very clingy. I think it will be an adjustment getting used to being gone from home 3 mornings a week, but I'm sure he'll do fine. His school is less than 5 minutes away, which is nice. It's actually in the basement of a woman's house. She came highly recommended, though, so I'll be excited to see what all Devon learns from her this school year.
