Devon's New Scooter

Dad bought Devon a new scooter while he was visiting. We made sure that Devon knew he had to wear his new Toy Story helmet while riding the scooter. He wasn't thrilled with that at first, but it didn't take him long to be okay with it. He had a lot of fun playing outside. We had some nice spring-like days this past week. I included a Utah Jazz picture because Bryce and I went to a game on March 20. They stomped the Hornets. Woo hoo! We had already purchased the tickets before we found out when Dad, Karen, and Jared were coming to visit, so we made a quick trip to Utah and then came right back after the game. Dad, Karen, and Emily watched the kids for us. I have to tell a funny story about Devon. Some of you have already heard it, but some haven't. Devon loves his Spiderman blanket, otherwise known as "blankie". He treats the blanket like a person - he pretends he is feeding it, talks to it, and puts it in time out. Well, one day recently I hear Devon say, "Yucky, poo poo." I go to investigate and he has the wipes and is wiping blankie and talking about how blankie is getting a diaper change. It was so hilarious that I didn't even say anything about all of the wipes he was wasting. (He would wipe the blanket and then throw a wipe in the trash.) Devon is quite a character, that's for sure!

Visit from family

Emily brought over one of her old Barbie cars for Elizabeth to play with when she gets older, but Devon decided to take over. He crawled into the car and has continued to play with it a lot. It is a remote control car, and Devon has really been into playing with cars lately. Dad, Karen, and Jared came to Idaho to visit this past week. Devon had Karen read Mr. Brown Can Moo by Dr. Seuss several times. He loves having books read to him, and then he pretends to read them as well. Devon is wearing his Spongebob hat in one of the pictures. He used to never keep hats on, but he has become more interested in them now.

More Pics of Devon

I think the red eye situation is officially taken care of. Sorry about the mess ups! Anyway, here are some more funny pictures of Devon. He is very photogenic and loves it when I take his pictures. He always says cheese now when he sees a camera. Devon loves to hold Elizabeth, and she fell asleep on him in this one picture. He likes to read her stories and when he wants to hold her he says, "Holgie baby?" That's how it sounds anyway.

Sweet Baby Girl

Ok, so I am pretty sad because I realized that for some reason my pictures all went back to having red eyes even after I fixed them. So if there are any pictures that someone specifically wanted to print out, just e-mail me and I will e-mail you the picture without the red eyes. I just don't want to have to redo all of the posts I have already done. Anyway, here are some pictures of my pretty princess. I wish I had taken more pictures of her before she grew out of a lot of her cute little outfits.

Silly Devon!!!

Devon is quite the funny child. He decided to get into the baby swing one day, which isn't the greatest idea since his weight could break it, but I thought he looked pretty funny in it. He used to love being in that thing, and now Lizzy loves it! He is in my grandma's dog's cage in another picture. He kept shutting himself in there, and thought it was great! His hair ended up looking like a mohawk one day since he messed it up right after I fixed it. Pretty studly, huh? I also took a picture of Devon's first haircut. I had trimmed the bottom of his hair before, but this was an all out haircut. Lauren Perotto is cutting his hair. She used to be in my ward and charges really well for haircuts, colorings, etc. If anyone lives in Rexburg, let me know and I can get it to you. She cut my hair once, and if we hadn't moved, I would have kept going to her. Lauren couldn't believe how good Devon was. He sat perfectly still and made it really easy for her to cut his hair. What a nice boy!

Christmas 2009

A couple of days before Christmas, we went to Mom's to celebrate with her, Emily, and Kevin. Devon enjoyed ripping into his presents, and he got a lot of fun toys, books, and clothes. Devon got to see Santa a couple of times this year; once at Wal-Mart and once at the library, which is pictured. He got a candy cane and book from Santa Claus.

December Graduation

So I finally quit being lazy and we now have the red eye situation taken care of. I will have to publish a lot of posts to catch up on all of my pictures and events. Here are more pictures from Bryce's graduation. We had a banquet the day before and we ate with some friends from our ward, the Andersen's and the Harris's. It was a really nice meal and we had fun visiting with friends.
